Greeting from San Francisco!

I’m in a career shift from Branding. My former background was in Advertising and Graphic Design. I just finished my program from UC Berkeley in UX/UI.

I’m currently working at a startup in San Francisco as a Social Communication / Graphic Designer. With my multiple design disciplines, Visual or UI Design would be a natural path.

Thoughts? Advice?

I think switching from branding, and graphical design makes sense.
For the transition to UX, I would suggest also getting some experience in user interviews, prototyping, and usability testing. It would be great to demonstrate the flow of a product/feature from identifying the problem, generating ideas, to testing and validating a solution.
